| Experience in developmental disabilities | I have been personally and now professionally involved in the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families. I have advocated for my son's full school inclusion into regular education classrooms for the past 14 years. I have advocated on behalf of friends and their family members. I have attended and graduated from Partner's In Policymaking program in 1999. I served on the Arc Suburban Board of Directors. I work for the County currently in CADI, CAC, and TBI (now BI) Waiver programs as a service coordinator. I have also been actively involved over the years in opposing physician assisted suicide for people with developmental disabilities. |

I am a single mother of 2 boys Kylen 17 and Konner 10. Konner is testing for his 2nd degree black belt in May 2012. Kylen will be graduating high school in the Summer of 2013. I appreciate all that the Governor's Council has done and the positive effect it has had in my son Kylen's life and our family. |
