Interest in developmental disabilities

I believe that persons with developmental disabilities deserve, and often require, the assistance of bodies such as the Council to make important progress in their lives. I have seen this demonstrated from a number of angles. First and foremost has been through the relationship with my sister, Anne, who was born with a developmental disability. Although her intellectual aptitude is limited, Anne's capacity to bring smiles to the people around her is extraordinary. It has been both a pleasure and an education being an advocate for Anne as her Co-Conservator over the years.
